Market Trends
Existing-home sales dropped 5.9% in March to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.02 million. Sales slowed 2.4% from a year ago.
The median existing-home sale price rose 2.7% from March 2024 to $403,700, marking the 21st consecutive month of year-over-year price increases.
The inventory of unsold existing homes rose 8.1% from the previous month to 1.33 million at the end of March, equivalent to a four-month supply at the current sales pace.
Interest Rates

Mortgage rates dipped and remained below 7%. The 10-year Treasury is the main benchmark for mortgage rates. In recent weeks, it moved sharply - falling below 4%, rising above 4.5%, and then settling around 4.2%.
Mortgage rates fell again, with 30-year fixed-rate loans averaging 6.81%. Markets had been volatile amid uncertainty surrounding tariff policies and federal employment cuts, but that volatility appeared to be calming.

Clever Home, Clever Idea: Wall-Mounted Storage

Swap clunky over-the-door storage racks for a sleek, wall-mounted solution. I have seen the over-the-door storage systems, and I do not like anything about them: how they look, how they act, or the attitude they give me when I am trying to close the door. They may seem convenient at first, but they often rattle whenever the door moves, scratch paint, shift out of place, and interfere with the very function of a door - closing. End rant.
Wall-mounted racks offer a cleaner, more customized approach. Securely fastened to the wall, they do not bounce or bang when the door moves. They stay in place, look intentional, and come in configurations suitable for cleaning supplies, toiletries, or pantry goods. Because they do not rely on door clearance, they also provide more flexibility in shelf depth and placement.
The result is a calmer, more organized, and polished space. A wall-mounted rack is a small investment with a big return in both form and function.
